3D lovers can rejoice as director Kenneth Branagh revealed Thor will be released in 3D. Although skeptical at first the director promises us an enriched movie experience thanks to the use a 3D.

The movie will be in theaters May 20th, 2011.

Dinosaurs! Terra Nova will always draw a comparison to the Jurrasic Park movies. But this time this Steven Spielberg produced series has a scifi twist. Terra Nova, which would see a family from Earth’s future flung back into the prehistoric age. The premise is a family accidentally time travelling to the prehistoric age!

Actor Kyle Chandler is rumoured to headline the expensive special effects rich new Fox series. The show will shoot in Hawaii summer 2010!

Conan, scheduled for a 2011 release has started filming and is creating good vibes amongst insiders.
The movie stars Jason Momoa, Rose McGowan, Rachel Nichols, Stephen Lang, Bob Sapp, Said Taghmaoui, Leo Howard, Ron Perlman and is directed by Marcus Nispel.
Nispel helmed recent horror flicks “The Texas Chainsaw Massacre” and “Friday the 13th” which did remarkably well at the boxoffice.

Thor, scheduled for a May 6th 2011 release wrapped up its four month long filming schedule and has everyone excited. The movie is directed by actor/director Kenneth Branagh.   The cast showcases a lot of huge Hollywood stars like Chris Hemsworth (Star Trek, The Perfect Getaway), Natalie Portman (Star Wars, V for Vendetta, Brothers), Clark Gregg (Iron Man, Nick Fury) and Anthony Hopkins as Thor’s father Odin.   Other movies on Marvel’s release sheet include Captain America: The First Avenger, The Avengers and recently confirmed by cast member Samual L. Jackson: S.H.I.E.L.D.

Fans campaigned for the actress to host SNL on Facebook and attracted nearly 500,000 supporters.

Instead of going for a classic 3D animation movie, the Smurfs 3D will be an interesting animated-live action mix, featuring the Smurfs in 3D and live action stars. One of the live action characters will be a young dad of two who stumbles across the Smurfs’ village played by Neil Patrick Harris.

Harris currently stars in the hugely popular “How I Met Your Mother” tv sitcom and you’ll also catch him on the big screen in “Beastly, the summer 2010 teen movie (Youtube trailer below).

But that’s not all while Neil Patrick Harris takes on the leading live action role, other huge Hollywood names have also signed on.

Master comedian, actor and radio personality Jonathan Winters (The Flinstones, National Lampoon’s Cattle Call) voiced the Papa Smurf character in the original Hanna Barbera Cartoon and is back on board.

George Lopez (Beverly Hills Chihuahua, Fatal Instinct) has been cast as Grouchy Smurf while comedian/actor Alan Cumming ( X2: X-Men United, Spy Kids, Frasier, Third Rock from the Sun, Sex and The City, Saturday Night Live) is rumored to be voicing evil sorcerer Gargamel.

Pop star Kate Perry, known for her smash hit ‘I kissed a Girl’, will get in touch with her most girly side playing Smurfette.

The capable Raja Gosnell will direct the 3D movie. The director helmed several Hollywood hits including Beverly Hills Chihuahua, Home Alone 3, Scooby-Doo 1 & 2 and Big Momma’s House.

“Conan the Barbarian” the movie that launched Arnold Schwarzenegger to action hero stardom is getting a remake.
Slated for production in March 2010 huge Hollywood names battled it out for the leading role.

Candidates for the job?
Twilight Actor Kellan Lutz, Supernatural alumni Jared Padalecki and Stargate Atlantis cast member Jason Momoa.

So who’s the chosen one?

Director Marcus Nispel, the man behind Pathfinder and Fridaythe 13th (the remake) loved Jason Momoa’s audition. Nispel shot some trial scenes with Momoa yielding a sword and also got movie studio Lionsgate sold on the SciFi actor.

Jason Momoa, maybe best known for his role as a life guard in Baywatch, isn’t a stranger to action scenes either. His character in the science fiction hit Stargate Atlantis (“Ronon Dex”) was a moody alien warrior who played a part in nearly all big fights yielding all sorts of weaponry.

The movie reboot will be unleashed in theaters next year. Production will start in Europe, Bulgaria on March 15.
