She fought her cancer battle in silence and dignity, made her comeback with an uplifting poptastic album and an extraordinary totally sold out world tour AND… she absolutely loves ABBA.

Being the Abba fan that she is, she treated her hardworking dancers and tour collegues to the movie version of the musical ‘Mamma Mia’ renting a whole cinema complex for them in the process.

Duet

Hopefully she enjoyed it because the pop princess has been very busy the last few months. By recording an ABBA cover for instance!

 

It’s something Kylie fans have been craving for for ages – not only another Abba cover (after her great Live rendition of ‘Dancing Queen’ during the Intimate&Live tour) but also a duet with her sister!

 

That’s right Dannii and Kylie Minogue have recorded the ABBA track ‘The Winner Takes It All’ for a new BBC comedy series called ‘Beautiful People’!

 

Winning Streak

Kylie’s been on a fantastic winning streak lately, receiving the Order Of The British Empire from Prince Charles, heading to Bucharest with her sold out European leg of the Kylie X 2008 Tour, kicking of the record breaking UK Tour dates (with a record six nights of sold out performances in Manchester attended by Prince Charles) and releasing the 4th single from her hit album ‘X’, called ‘The One’.

 

Luckily Kylie also enjoyed a relaxing holiday with Nathalie Imbruglia in between her busy schedule.

 

And in the meantime she managed to record several demo’s for her new album including a rumored cover of ‘Copacabana’… the track was also featured on the KylieX2008 setlist.

 

2008 and beyond looks very promising for Kylie fans indeed!!
