“We’ll find E.T. within two dozen years.” SETI (Search for Extra-Terrestrial Intelligence) senior astronomer Seth Shostak is sure of it and there’s the strong possibility they already have!

Shostak estimates that the computing technology and space research instruments would have enough power in 2025 to search as far out as 500 light years.

 

“This is enough based on scientist Frank Drake’s estimate of there being 10,000 civilizations in our galaxy alone capable of creating radio transmitters–to find evidence of life intelligent enough to broadcast its existence”, according to the SETI astronomer. The Allen Telescope Array (ATA) unveiled october 2007 by Microsoft co-founder Paul Allen will play a huge factor in this.

 

But there’s a strong possibility they’ve already had ET on the line!

On August 15, 1977 Dr. Jerry R. Ehman, a project volunteer, witnessed a startlingly strong signal received by the telescope. He quickly circled the indication on a printout and scribbled the phrase “Wow!” in the margin.

According to another source, the head of ‘The Disclosure Project’, Dr. Steven Greer, SETI has already received multiple alien signals but cannot confirm this due to pressure from the CIA & NSA. The Disclosure Project is a non-profit organization with almost 500 former military, intelligence, and government employees who go on record about their various experiences with aliens and alien technology.

Cornell University astronomer Frank Drake performed the first SETI experiment, named “Project Ozma” in 1960 with 26-meter-diameter radio telescope.

 

Since then astronomers worldwide have coordinated their efforts with constantly growing computer power, bigger telescopes and better technology. One of those modern tools is SETI@home, everyone can download this software on their computer and process SETI radio signals.
