Disney/Pixar’s promising - Up!

A truly magical animated movie, that’s what the latest Pixar creation promises to be.
It will also be Pixar’s first movie available in special 3D theaters. That will make the movie simply named ‘UP’ an even more special event!

As always this Pixar creation has some very special leading characters, namely an old ‘grandpa’ grouch and a young scouts kid… who’ll travel the world and experience some wild adventures!
‘UP’ will splash on screens everywhere on may 29th 2009!

Enjoy the fabulous trailer in the meantime!

> Love it or hate it?

Looking forward to this new Disney/Pixar creation? Like the trailer?

It must have cost heaps and it’s quite debatable if the use on election night was warrented, but CNN made television history going live with a hologram reporter in Chicago.

Jessica Yellin took place at the center of a circle consisting of 35 high definition cameras catching her every move… moments later she was beamed live in 3D at the CNN studios in New York.

Debatable?

Cool?! Absolutely, but what’s the point of having a reporter at the scene (in this case, Obama’s campaign headquarters) and then filtering the whole local scene out just to get that reporter back in the studio?

Cool technology… but probably a bit misused in this case. Though it’s certainly applaudable that CNN experiments with cutting edge technologies like these.

Watch the hologram for yourself right here!

> Have your say! What do you think of CNN’s election coverage and its hologram?

Graphical 3D search with SearchCube You’d never think yet another new search engine could be this interesting. And yet this one is: a new 3D graphical searchengine called SearchCube.

The results are powered by Google, but the search results are featured in a nifty 3D presentation.

Hopefully we might see a similar 3D version for Yahoo! Search because their results have been going from strength to strengt time after time… (contrary to the parent company itself.)

Why not try it out for yourself, it’s really cool!
