Largo Winch II – the second movie installment of the wildly popular Belgian comic franchise – is kicking ass at the French boxoffice.
Though the movie didn’t reach the top spot and stalled at number two, Largo Winch: The Burma Conspiracy drew over 475.663 fans to the theatres in its first 5 days of release.
By comparison the first movie enticed 400.000 movie goers to catch the action movie in that same timeframe in 2008.

The movie stars Jason Momoa, Rose McGowan, Rachel Nichols, Stephen Lang, Bob Sapp, Said Taghmaoui, Leo Howard, Ron Perlman and is directed by Marcus Nispel.
Nispel helmed recent horror flicks “The Texas Chainsaw Massacre” and “Friday the 13th” which did remarkably well at the boxoffice.

Get ready for another round of Hollywood blockbuster mania with the release of Iron Man 2!
May 7th, the second installment of this high paced action movie will be released with a spectacular Robert Downey Jr. reprising the epic role of Tony Stark.

UPDATE: As of wednesday AVATAR is the second most succesful movie ever with over $1.14 billion in worldwide grosses, topping previous No. 2 “The Lord of the Rings: Return of the King.”
Directing the top 2 most popular movies ever? It’s never been done, but “Avatar” director James Cameron is on track to perform this unique feat.
His latest movie “Avatar” took over 4 years to produce… that’s a long leash for a director.
Off course James Cameron already proved his Midas touch with “Titanic”. That movie starring Leonardo Dicaprio and Kate Winslet catapulted those stars to ultimate fame and went on to become the biggest boxoffice hit in history! The movie grossed 1,8 billion dollars worldwide.
