Love to watch those fantastic high profile shows or movies like 24, The West Wing, Battlestar Galactica or Air Force One?
All shows with high stakes – saving the country or even humanity – and they’ve all got something in common: strong leadership.
Who’s your favorite Hollywood president? |
Harrison Ford as President James Marshall in Air Force One?
Martin Sheen as President Jed Bartlett in The West Wing?
Dennis Haysbert as President David Palmer in 24?
Mary McDonnell as President Laura Roslin in Battlestar Galactica?
Morgan Freeman as President Tom Beck in Deep Impact?
You can cast your vote in the fun Amazon Election ‘08 primaries!
But that’s not all!
Amazon is also tracking the race between presidential candidates Barack Obama and John McCain… measuring the sales of their biographies!
Last year Stargate SG-1 got cancelled, now another gate closes down… but you can’t send a great tv series in oblivion! Bad news aside, 2008 proves to be a HUGE Stargate year!
Stargate SG-1 survived several cast changes, spawned a succesful sister series Stargate Atlantis and the show’s heroes were victorious against many foes. But the show starring Richard Dean Anderson, Beau Bridges and Amanda Tapping didn’t survive the number crunching bureaucrats at SciFi Channel’s headquarters.
More bad news…
Now after 5 succesful seasons, Stargate Atlantis also needs to close down.
SciFi channel wants a noughties scifi series with a younger cast, as apparently Stargate Atlantis is too much "nineties" for them.
But hang on there’s loads of good news too!
