If you ever doubted the Star Trek franchise could be revived, doubt no more. The wizzkid creator of tv hits ‘Lost’ and ‘Fringe’, J.J. Abrams has come to the rescue and rescuscitated the patient!
The movie looks to be filled with spectacular action scenes, amazing special effects wizardry and seems to have a less idealistic ‘fairy tale’ feel to it than we’re used to from the Star Trek realm.
This trailer is like no other Star Trek trailer you’ve ever seen and promises a Star Trek movie on an epics scale. The trailer promises a Star Trek movie that towers over every other movie in the franchise you’ve ever seen! It’s huge!!

It must have cost heaps and it’s quite debatable if the use on election night was warrented, but CNN made television history going live with a hologram reporter in Chicago.
Jessica Yellin took place at the center of a circle consisting of 35 high definition cameras catching her every move… moments later she was beamed live in 3D at the CNN studios in New York.
Debatable?
Cool?! Absolutely, but what’s the point of having a reporter at the scene (in this case, Obama’s campaign headquarters) and then filtering the whole local scene out just to get that reporter back in the studio?
Cool technology… but probably a bit misused in this case. Though it’s certainly applaudable that CNN experiments with cutting edge technologies like these.
Watch the hologram for yourself right here!
